- WHAT TO DO -

Kettlebaston Old Rectory is just over 3 miles from the historic 13th century wool town of Lavenham with its beamed houses, beautiful church and Guild Hall (owned by the National Trust).

Further afield  are the villages of Long Melford, Clare and Cavendish to the south-west which can be explored by car or bicycle from The Old Rectory.

To the East there is "Constable Country" to explore.  East Bergholt, Dedham and Flatford.  In Dedham boats can be hired for a day’s rowing on the river Stour.

The sandy beaches of Frinton, Walton and Felixstowe are just under an hour’s drive away while Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Southwold are near enough for a day’s excursion.

Kettlebaston is 9 miles from Sudbury and just about equidistant from Colchester, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds.

Maggie and her family are happy to share their secret favourite places with guests to ensure you have as special a stay as possible.
